Habitat - Indoor :: what glue is strong and safe to use?

what kind of glue is strong enough to bound plastic with glass? and that it is safe in the water for my turtles?
can anyone give me some brands and please be specific because i'm going to buy the glue at home depot this weekend and start building up my new tank. thanks in advance.

what's the difference with silicone sealant and acrylic caulk?

Acrylic cauilk is best used for tanks that are made of acrylic and not glass.

Acrylic Caulk is NOT an adhesive. Regular silicone sealant (bath/kitchen) contains fungicides to prevent mildew, and may be dangerous to use in an aquarium. Use only Aquarium safe silicone. (Google "All glass silicone").

kc, have you researched how to make a tank properly? Since tanks need to support a lot of water pressure, larger ones can be tricky to make, especially for a beginner. As you're not sure which sealant to use, I think you may want to hold off on making the tank until you've read up a bit more about it.

no i'm not trying to make a tank. i'm just trying to make a basking area inside of my new tank.
