Habitat - Indoor :: Can you have too many plants????

I am setting up my new tank and would like to add some plants for decoration/food. What I am wondering is if I put 10 to 15 plants in the tank will the turtles overeat? Its a 135gal. 72x18x20.

Wow, AWESOME!! Can't wait to see pics of the huge tank!! It is ALMOST impossible to over feed a RES on plants or greens.

lol yea, usually they eat and eat and eat until the area between their head and their front legs bulges out and can't eat anymore. Then they bask, poop and eat some more.

I think it depends on the turtles personality. You'll probably have to get fake plants... once turts know something is edible... it's gone.

Since they will eat or rip up plants they don't eat, to me, too many plants in the tank at least partly depends on how much waste a turtle produces and how much of a mess (plants) is made in the tank.
