I like the filter group that DavidY suggested as well. Very quiet, and very little current.
I had to mix pellets in with the shrimp initially to get my hatchling to eat them. I just kept upping the percentage of pellets to shrimp. i started with 10% pellets, 90% shrimp, then 20% pellets... You get the picture. After a week or so they would eat the pellets without the shrimp.

Oh thanks I will try that! I thought about mixing them but I didn't know if the taste would rub off or not. I am going to mix up little baggie and see what happens. I had to take out the filter Gimli got stuck behind it. I guess I am lucky I realized that he was "missing" when I was looking in the tank or he could have neem a goner.

That has happened with a fwe people's wee turtles. They do like to wedge themselves into tight places.

Does anyone think that the Duetto DJ-100 would make too big of a current? It is for 20 gallons but if it isn't going to be too strong I want to get that one. I will probably just go ahead and order it, if the current is too big I will figure something out

I've never seen one in action before so I couldn't tell you. But if it is too strong you could try putting a rock or something in front of the outlet to divert the stream of water.

Thanks. I went and got the 100 and the stream is WAY too strong lol. Right now I am having it flow onto the side of the tank that way it isn't so strong. The problem with it is that you can not put it under water unless you buy some sort of tubes for air to come into the filter. It has to stick up out of the water if you dont have the tubes so I think that is why its so strong. Can I turn it off at night? Both babies are extremely PO'ed right now. I took them out to do a water change and the water is only 76 degrees so they can't go back in yet. I have them in the container they were in before and they are not happy with it. I went out and got one of those powered siphons but my sink can't handle all the water. Is there some sort of attachment I can get to be able to hook it to the bath tub faucet? I want to do a complete change in Nyx's tank but taking out all that water by hand kills my back. It is an aqueon siphon, they didn't have the Python one in 25 feet.

LOL! They are such fast little things they won't hold still long enough. I wanted to get a picture of the babies sitting ontop of Nyx's shell but I don't think any of them would appreciate that! I will get some more pics of them with a qaurter so everyone can see if they have grown or not (I think they have) They are both sleeping now so I don't want to bother them.
