Has anyone heard of T-Rex Solar Drops Liquid UVB? I was wandering through the pet store and came across this product. I do not have a UVB bulb, so I was considering getting these drops. Any suggestions about this liquid sunshine?

I bought that like 4 years ago, I never used it though. I guess I can't return it now. I'm also curious if these are safe or not.

How often do u have to put that

If its every water change and stuff
Then its a waste

Just get a UVB bulb for 10
And a clamp lamp for 7

Generally I advise people not to offer these types of supplements if possible. It's always better to receive vitamins and minerals naturally and let to body absorb and process what it needs. Dosage and habitat conditions can vary wildly, so can the effect it will have. There is a calcium/D3 powder that some people use, but that doesn't change my opinion.

I suggest you get a UVB light, they are more affordable than they were just a couple of years ago.

Those people talk good game and make excellent points (not what they wrote in the link, they wrote a small article a while ago, that was what I was reffereing to), but I believe it's the same dosage for all reptiles? I have a hard time believing that a small lizard and some huge alligator share the same dosages.

These drops have been discussed on other forums, and the concensus was that along with the Vit D that occurs naturally in the diet, meeting the UVB requirement was most efficiently and most safely done by basking under a UVB light or unfiltered sunlight.
