I need a new tank for my turtle which is too big for my tank right now and i can't afford buying a bigger tank so i was thinking that i could make one.... but i don't know how so if you have any ideas please share them also i really want to make an above tank basking area so also if you have any ideas please share them Thanks!!!

How big is your turtle and how big is the tank he's in now? Depending on the size of your turtle, rather than making a tank, you could try using something like a Rubbermaid storage container (you'd have to make the support for it), at least temporarily, or get a stock tank (cheaper than a tank and no work involved). If you check classifieds and on-line sites like www.craigslist.org you may be able to find a cheap used one.

If you look in the Photo Gallery, you should be able to find pics of above-tank basking areas.

ok thanks!! i really want to make a tank but my parents don't want to take the risk of it leaking so ya but i'm not sure anymore!!

The best investment for the size you need would be in a 100 gallon stock tank.
