Just got a nice power filter and its set against the top frame of my glass tank. My water level is as high as I'd like it to be, about 4 inches from the top. It's creating so much noise though with the splashing of the water as it hits the surface which is getting really annoying..does anybody have any suggestions on how to reduce this noise? Besides adding water?
Another thing you can do, sort of like attaching the piece of plexiglass, if your equipment will allow it, is to angle the water flow towards the wall of the tank. That will make it quieter.
oo what i used to do it
you those paper cd covers with the plastic things in the middle
its like a circle and u can see through it
I hope you know what im talking about
I cut the clear plastic out and taped it to the filter
And the water just flowed on the plastic
You can build some kind of attachment. I cut the bottoms off of disposable Glad containers and attached them to the top of the filter with wire. It's pretty quiet now.
