Habitat - Indoor :: Building materials for an above tank dock

where would I get them and waht would I need? would home depot be a good place?
and should I get silicone? And what type of glue should I use that is non toxic?
I don't want to build a pvc pipe one though,I think those are really ugly.

It all depends on the type you want to make. I think PVC platforms are perfectly fine as well as those acrylic store-bought platforms.

I think I am going to make one out of wood. I already have a store bought one, but I want to make an above tank one.
Also, I have a terrarium with a hole in the bottom, and I would like to convert that to a tank as well.
How would I go about doing so? I was thinking of maybe guying some kind of foam sealant for hte hole. It is maybe one inch diameter across. Is there any good brand that I should get that is non toxic and availiable at home depot?

If it has a hole in the bottom of it, it is a safety measure to make sure no one fills it with water. A terrarium is not meant to hold water, the glass is too thin, and the seams are too weak.
