General Care Discussion :: turtles are making fun of me

I have this plastic plant inside their tank. It has a little plastic base that can be buried under the rocks... the little bastards always dig it out and let it float around... ALWAYS!

I had an extra suction cup and I can somewhat attach the plant to it and still bury it under the rocks...

Every time I come home I find the plant floating around and the turtles looking at me like: "haha, we got you again, sucker!"

Mine have a heavy base, so they doesn't float. lol

lol it is sweet how turtles take the mick.
can be sometimes verry enoying!!!
its cool how turtles can speak to you in facial expressions.
they do somthing that they know you dont like, they look at you and say" oops, my finger slipped "

My baby turtle loves to bump and push into his big rocks to let his live plants be free. I have even seen him nose down into his plant tugging on it. At first it scared me, I thought he was stuck. Then I realized he was just having fun or so I hope it is just fun.

karlyn does that with the dock and heater... everyday... and when we fix it, she comes up to us and just sticks her head out of the water, and then she rubs her shell on my hands! LOL... me and my boyfriend always say...
"THE VANDALS HAVE STRUCK AGAIN!"

I just let my plant float because there arent many places to rest at the surface of the water.

Yup, that's exactly what Ralph does... When I first got the plant, I caught him using his shell like a tank or bulldozer to dig at the suction cup xP I've given up trying to re-attach it all the time now...

i learned from my mistakes. Every thing i put in my tank, they manage to break/eat!
Fake plants:eat
Rock Cave:take apart (these rocks are like 5x their size and the still dismantle them)
Dock:eat (yes, i have overfed them, so i am cutting back on treaties. the are too lazy to catch the fish so they eat the dock )
I think you can all understand why i call them The Brothers Of Destruction!!!
(ill give you a million dollars if you even get that )
Oh well. this just means that they cant have nice things.

That doesn't happen to me luckily. I attached my plants so hard that if they ever try to pull it out one leg gets stuck. Of course its not a serious death trap, they get out in like 3 seconds.

lol i just always thought that my suction cups were broken i fix it everyday to find it undone again, now i know its my res ,sneeky lil res
