My turtle blinks one eye at a time, is this okay or normal?

haha! it must look pretty funny to see him winking!

just wondering, does he blink a lot? my turt doesn't blink all that much, just when he's coming out of the water. if he's blinking a lot then you might want to check out his eyes, otherwise i wouldn't worry too much. check for puffiness around the eyes. if it's a matter of puffy eyes then just boost his vitamin A with some carrots and the like. i actually was just researching on this for my own turt and he loves carrots.

I'd test out his eye sight. Like grab something he really likes (like a pellet or sometihing) and just wave it on one side of the eye and the other and see if he can see out of both eyes.

Some of my painteds close the eye that's closest to me when I pick them up. Perhaps it's their way of letting me know they wish I'd disappear.
