Hello all,
I just got the product Biotize and about a day or so after using it my water starting turning neon green. It's not a dirty green or an algea looking green but neon green and its crystle clear. I don't know if this is a good thing, but I'm assuming it's a reaction to the biotize.
Any help is appreiciated.

Since I don't use Biotize, I can't help you on this situation, but when I read your post, I had the image in my head of a glowing green tank, like radiation,

Does it glow in the dark?
I've used biotize but my water never turned green.

I took a picture. It's a little dark but when you look at it the right way it kinda does got a glow to it and it don't glow in the dark.

That water's pretty green all right. Probably algae. Someone who's seen it before will have to respond to you on it.
But I'm going to volunteer something else. That gravel in the bottom of the tank looks nice but I'm afraid it's dangerous. Don't want to scare you but here's a thread on the subject:

Also, how big are those turts? And how big is your tank? It may be that the tank is too small for the turtles and that's why the algae is growing so fast.
How often do you change the water?

One more off-topic thing I would suggest, unless your basking platform is stationary, feel free to raise the water level, RES are aquatic turtles and spend most of their time in the water, and ones as big as yours have a little to no chance of drowning. Just not as much so they can climb out, but you get the point.
More water = cleaner wate and less water changes too.

I would say I do a 25% change about once a week a same with changing the filter. The carbon not the bio. but I've had these turts in this setup for about 6 months and it seems that it didn't start turning green untill I used the biotize. Also they are about 6" prob a little bigger and it's a 55 gallon which is prob too small but $$$.

The basking is stationary so I can't adjust the hight... for right now, but I set it where it's about 6" from the to to prevent escapes.

Can you do a complete water change then run it for awhile without the biotize and see if it turns green again?
Why did you add the biotize? Is it a new filter? Hopefully someone else who has used biotize will repond but I've never heard of it turning the water green.
The most common thing that turns anything (water, basking ramp, turtle shell, etc) green is algae. There are many threads on here on the subject. Why don't you try a search and browse through what pops up. Here's an example thread that sounds similar to yours:

I added the biotize hoping to keep it cleaner more often. I don't believe the pump and filter setup that I'm using is efficient enough. Like I said I'm changing the carbon filter once a week sometimes twice just to keep the water clear, of course w/water changes, but I've been reading of better filter setups that do a better job but my money tree not in season yet

The phosphorus content of the water is likely high. Partial water changes should fix that.
If you didn't have the problem before using the Biotize, why not just stop using it? Biotize may liquify solid waste so you don't see it, but that doesn't mean that the water is cleaner or needs to be changed less...

Just read that post.
My tank is near a sliding door which the blinds are usally closed it's possible that they've left open more often and then maybe it's just a coincidence that it started turning green at the same time, but I don't see algea growing any where just the green water. Also though the tank has been in the same location for 6 months.

You could most likely test for it (ask at an aquarium shop) but you could also do partial water changes to see if the green goes away.

just get a filter with mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration.
