Hi,
I was just wondering what % UVB rays I need for my RES. I've been shopping around for his new set-up and equipment and realized the cheap lights have a low uvb %. I never even looked at %, I just made sure the lights were uva & uvb in one, which is what I would like. But, while I was on the PetCo web site I read a customer review that said a few of the bulbs were too low on uvb and don't bother buying them. So, how high do I need the UVB to be? :?:

5 to 10% is ideal.

Would 10 or 5% be better?

10% is definetly better. 5% is the minimum. 8% would be fine too.

It also would depend on the distance/position of the light from the basking area.

Thanks guys! Today, I went and got a 10% uvb 30% uva light. So thanks again for all your help.
