Can you please provide details on your husbandry of your red ears from feeding to temperatures above and below the water. Is your enclosure being well maintained and such. Any information you can provide would be helpful. I know the last request may sound odd but reptiles can feel barometric pressure drops as well from temperatures and storm activity outside your home. What is the outside temperatures as well . I am not sure where " Colombo " is.

Colombo is the capital of Sri Lanka which is a country in the Indian ocean.Yesterday temperature record outside 'my house' ;

27°C - 10 a.m.
31°C - 02 p.m.
28°C - 06 p.m.(I record temperature as a hobby,so don't think how the heck I get those values)

And it's 26°C right now(07:01a.m.)Our average temperature is 29°C...

I didn't have the records of last day room temperature,but I may give you temperature information of 23rd April;

28°C - 08 a.m.
28°C - 11 a.m.
30°C - 12 p.m.
30.5°C-02 p.m.
29°C - 04 p.m.
28°C - 10 p.m.

I afraid,I don't have water temperature records,but I think water temperature stays between 27°C-28°C...

The temperatures are okay overall and right around where they need to be. What is the water conditions like and is the enclosure kept clean at all times? What is your filtration system like as well? I believe that I understand where Steve is leaning to in regards to feeding and if they feed together but I can't see why both turtles would be sharing the same demeanor on sleeping. If I am not mistaken, in which I can be, my assumption is that Steve is leaning towards a dominance issue while feeding. Again I may be wrong on this and Steve would need to educate us both on this matter if I am wrong. But I would like to know if I am right on why both would be doing the same exact thing overall. Very Interesting.

Thank You for pointing out where Colombo is as well. I do not know much about India at all regarding the locality regions other than for the most part, It is very warm there and I met some of the most outstanding and respectable people from Sri Lanka. I have a few friends from there that reside in Florida. Most people that I met from there are outstanding business people and a large number of them have high level professions here as well. I just did not know about Colombo. Do you mind me asking what is the colder temperatures there during the winter months? From what I seen over there on t.v. and the news, you do have mountain terrains there so I was just curious.

I don't use a filtration system as I change water two days per week...I feed them pellets and worms mostly with some vegetable...But water seems always o.k...Sri Lanka is not a part of India and it has totally different weather conditions with some parts of India...

In Sri Lanka there is not a very significant season changes and it's spring and summer throughout the year...Only in the middle part of the country,which is the highest area shows a little season change...It's average hot in Colombo throughout the year...

I use mid protein pellets which are given to fishes...Sometimes I feed them Algae pellets too...I feed them nightcrawlers and red earth worms as live food everyday...But in Saturdays and Wednesdays I feed them only live food...
