General Care Discussion :: Turtle shell texture

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I have a question regarding the right texture of a turtle shell. I was wondering if it's normal for a turtle to have the texture as seen in the picture. Note: this is not a picture of my actual turtle but the texture of the shell looks similar. Any other problems with the shell , like shell rot, are not associated with my turtle.

Thank you! :msgreen:

It's not normal, it could be the beginning of some fungus or another type of infection.
