hey new to the group.i have a 2 yr old yellow slider that has a crazy monster bump on the side of his face.looks like a 2nd head is gonna pop out,but I did some research and its an ear infection, and also it could eventually pollute the water and get my other 2 turtles sick..i called a local vet and they wanted a fortune to even look at him.can anyone help me on what I could do inexpensively. I was thinkin maybe see if a veterinary reptile school would take it on as a learning/ saving situation.anyone with any info it would be greatly appreciated.i don't know what to do for the little guy.he eats and swims and acts fine but in the last 3 mnths its gotten as big as his head almost.please pass this along so I can figure out what to do for him.im lost

If it's an ear abscess, then it does need to be treated by a vet is it requires minor surgery. An experienced reptile rescue might be able to help. A veterinary school is a good idea but I also check out a different vet. You will want to setup a "hospital" tank while he recovers.
