So I've confirmed my turtle to have a fungal infection and I've watched plenty of videos on how to treat it and the same thing. It's to isolated them, dry them and put iodine on the fungus, or something like that. If I forget, I'll just re-watch the videos.
Anyway, I've got some questions.
Since the turtle need to stay dry, so how do it feed them, I read somewhere that the food needs to be wet or something.
The video I watched said to treat them with iodine for a week. Does that mean they will be dry for a week, this is circling back to my previous question on how to feed them.

I'm not sure what treatment regimen you're planning on, but you will need to rehydrate him/her a few times a day. You can feed during this time.

I would only use iodine for the first one or two treatments. Try to get a prescription for silver sulfadiazine. You will also need Neosporin and possibly Chlorhexidine (both are at your local drug store).

how would i apply the Neosporin and Chlorhexidine ?

I diluted the Chlorhexidine by half with water, put the mixture in a spray bottle, and then sprayed the affected areas. I let it sit for about 10 minutes, rinsed the turtle off with regular water, and then spread some Neosporin on those same affected areas. I then dry-docked the turtles. (Your dry-docking schedule is up to you. Make sure your turtle gets around 2 hours of swimming time, per day).

Note that this strategy takes a while to work, especially if your turtle has retained scutes. A far more effective treatment is getting them to shed (i.e., with Hikari Wheat Germ), getting a silver sulfadiazine prescription, and then applying it to the affected areas when the fungus is exposed after the shed.

Sorry Steve, I didn't notice your post! I used Chlorhexidine gluconate (the bottle didn't have a brand name), and was told by the pharmacist that it's the same as Hibiclens.
