Hi,
i got a new turtle who is around 1.5 to 2 years old. (the shop keeper didnt know his age). I found him to be extremely active at the shop as he kept trying to find different ways to get out of his tank. I got him home day before yesterday and all he does is tries to get out of his tank. In the process he has bruised his jaw area. I do not want him to hurt himself anymore so I have put a soft towel in his tank. Can he get sick because of the wet towel? What can I do to help him?

I don't have much advice to give on this topic but I think you would definitely have a better chance of getting help from someone who knows if you posted in the urgent care section. This "People Talk" area really has less activity than anywhere else in the forum and I would hate for your questions to get overlooked.
Also, if the wet towel is cold I'm pretty sure it could make your turtle sick.

Is it just bruised from rubbing against the tank? What are the water levels in there? How big is the tank?

Yes, he kept hitting his jaw on the tank walls and injured himself. The water level and tank size is relative to the size of my turtle. The problem is, even after injuring himself my turtle was very very active but since the weather change, he has become very very lethargic and does not eat at all. Could this have anything to do with the cold weather?
