Hi, my name is Vega, I'm new to the forum and i have been having a small problem with my turtle. Ive noticed my turtle has been itching his neck ALOT in and out of water, its been going on for about a week and a half if i remember correctly. He wad recently shedding so im not sure iff that has anything to do with it. I noticed underwater he'll get itchy and go on his platform and is itchy there too. He still eats so i dont think its life threatening but ive been kinda worried about him. If anyone can help me that would be HIGHLY appreciated.
Thank you
Vega

He was recently shedding skin or his shell? Is his neck discolored or sore in anyway?

If its floating, it was probably skin. Could it be the nuchal scute bothering him? Can you post a picture of his head neck?

I don't see much skin. Is he still scratching a lot? How big is the turtle? If it's bigger than 4", it might be a girl.

I got both of my turtles names worng
My female names is squirtle or squirt (I named her)
My male named splash ( I didn't name him)
The pets store was so bad that there was 20 1 year olds and 5" male that did not have water to swim in a he was prymiding.
My female squirtle came up to anyone who walked by the tank to beg for food. And the rest just looked motionless basking or sitting in the water
