Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I recently noticed that my hatchling YBS was starting to grow algae on its shell. Will this harm the turtle in any way? Should I try to get it off? If so, how?

It's not harmful, but I would probable get it off a hatchling. A soft toothbrush should be more than enough to remove it.
