hey i got my turtle in febuary from a website that i figured out was terrible and refrigerate the turtles before they send them out well anyways for for that but i got to save a turtle from them but he/she came with a bump on his/her neck and is sort of white but he/she is shedding around his/her neck and i heard that is normal but he/she basks a lot and sleeps a lot so i don't know if this is good or not but when he/she is sleeping/basking a lot i put him/her in the water and he/her floats for a bit and then like wakes up and starts swimming for a bit but then goes back to baskting and it worrys me but the nearest vet to me is a farm vet a probly doesn't know anything about turtles so i can't go there and also i am only 14 so i can't drive anywhere so i am mad and worried so please help thanks!!

P.S. He/she isn't eating like at all so i don't know what to do thanks so much!!

What exactly does this "bump" look like? Where is it located? To help with the other problems we'd need a bit of info on your setup.. especially the water/basking temps. Are you positive the turtle isn't eating anything? Try putting food up on the basking area and see if it disappears. The turtle won't eat it out of the water, but will grab it and take it into the water to eat it.. just an easy way to see if they are eating... :)

The part where you talk about putting the turtle in the water and it just floats.. mine do that too when I've picked them up and put them back in the water.
