Yeah, I wouldn't advise it. I'm not a full fledged expert, but I've had two hatchlings in the same tank since April and I'm already worried I'll have to separate them eventually, because they do get a little aggressive from time to time. I really regret getting two to be honest, but the jerk I bought them from in the street (illegally I've discovered since) wouldn't let me walk away with only one, even if I was willing to pay the exact same price.
Regardless, those hatchlings are delicate. If you've got one that's significantly bigger turtle, then she could even wind up killing the hatchling by accident.
If you do get another, don't get a baby, go for one that is the same approximate size and make sure there is 10 gallons of water for every inch of turtle shell in the tank, or else you'll run the risk of them getting territorial. Also make sure there is always enough food. Feed them separately from the tank if possible, especially to begin with. I did that for months after I got them and slowly reintroduced them to communal feeding. They're better now, but it's still not ideal.
I'll leave you with a horror story I heard AFTER getting two; A friend of my sister-in-law once owned two RES turtles. One got bigger more quickly than the other. Said friend got home one day to find a tank filled with blood and a turtle head floating in it. I often fear coming home to that myself.
I will concentrate on the one for right now.
