I just got a new tank . And it seems that my Map turtle is sleeping a lot. Should I be worried ? I mean just all in the middle of the say he is just asleep.

It is around 77 F.

Bump up the temperatures. Any other symptoms? Or is this just from moving into a new tank.

He had some shedding issues but those seem to have passed and he was acting normally, until I moved him into the new tank. He is not being slow or anything. He is cashing fish and and such.

Is he awake and alert when you take him out of the tank? How much time is he sleeping during the day?

HE was sleeping all the time .. however got a new themonitor, and saw that the temp was like 74. So know I have bumped there temp up , and he is acting better .

Unless he is a hatchling, I don't think a few degrees would make a big difference... especially is he has a basking area.
