I know this is: http://www.petsandponds.com/en/reptile- ... 53445.html

But is this: http://www.petsandponds.com/en/reptile- ... 50398.html

The second one is a LOT cheaper lol, but wondering if it is same quality/performance as the ReptiGlo.

The first provides UVB, which is necessary for calcium metabolism.

The second provides heat for basking.

You need both.

The second one is just a normal heat lamp, no uvb. Your turtles will enjoy a heat lamp too but you will still need the uvb bulb. They're expensive but theres really no way around it. You can set up an outdoor enclosure for the summer when its warm enough to try to save your bulbs but you'll still need something for the winter. Good luck! :)

Don't waste your money on the second one just for heat. Instead just use a regular soft white light bulb.Try a 60 watt bulb.
