I have two RES turtles, both being about a year old, but one of them was extremely overfed (not by me, since this turtle was a gift to me, and not one I bought for myself), and is the size of a full grown RES (approx. 5-6 inches). My RES, Turtur, is still about an inch and a half. Spidy, the overfed RES, has shown signs of fluttering, but stopped after I cleaned the tank water and rearranged the tank. After that, no more fluttering. But today I noticed Spidy making a lot of splashing, and when I came over to the tank to examine, Turtur had one of his front claws, not broken, but twisted, with pink showing on where the claw attaches to the "hand", I think he might've been bleeding, but there was no blood in the water, it's just pink. The claw is twisted the wrong way, and Turtur's tucked up that leg close to his shell when he isn't using it. There are no vets nearby/I'm unable to visit a vet. What should I do, and is this life threatening?
