Weird thing. Yesterday evening we noticed the thing in the picture. The day before, she was overly skittish (flew off the dock when anyone walked down the hall - about 3-4 times), but looked fine at the end of the day. Today, it is drying up and peeling off on one side (like a scab). Like I said, Weird.

I thought it looked like a burn, especially because it is so perfectly shaped. I could not find anything hot (basking surface, heaters, bathroom, etc.). Then I noticed that it followed her jaw line, so maybe a bruise of sorts from flying off the dock..?

Any clue?

It looks like a little scab or callous. I notice my female RES get them on her legs occasionally.
