So I added 5 tiny tiny tiger barbs into my aquarium with my two 2 inch turtles and the tiger barbs go around nipping at my turtles. Do u think it hurts the turtles? Also I seem to be getting brown algea near the sides of the tank where the light bulb hits and on the docks. Does brown algea harm my turtles?

How big are your tiger barbs? I think your turtles should be fine even at 2". The barbs may just be curious and will stop nipping once they get used to the turtle. Once the turtles get bigger the tiger barbs may become a snack.
The brown algae is harmless but I'd clean it off or else it will start growing everywhere.

Thank you for responding DevilDuck. My tiger barbs are half a inch.

Yes my tiger barbs and turtles seems to be living happily together. My turtles have begun to shed a bit and the tiger barbs clean them lol. I now worry about the tiger barbs because they eat fish food plus left over turtle food and 2 of them seem to be swimming kinda strange. Maybe they are eating too much? Brown algea is gone after cleaning and scrubbing everything. :)

Tiger barbs are total pigs! They will eat so much they can't swim straight right and look like balloons with fins.

Since your turtles are young you can start feeding the turtles in a separate container like rubbermaid bin and enough tank water to cover them. This helps a lot in keeping the water clean and the barbs from pigging out.

I bought some last week (6) Skimmer hasn't eaten any yet and really doesn't seem to mind them pecking at his feet all the time. I am a bit worried that they will cause sores if they keep it up. I know it's probably good for them when he's shedding skin, but right now he doesn't appear to be, but they keep pecking at him.

Maybe I should take them back to Petstupid  and try another kind of fish. I got them to eat the bloodworms still in the sad, but I sure don't want to jeopardize Skimmer in the process.

Well the pecking has pretty much stopped and everyone seem to be getting along wonderfully.
