I got my turtles bout a month ago doing everything encouraged giveing veggies pellets,have a uvb light,dock and i have water changes weekly but my larger turtle which is still quite young has a sort of faded colour to his shell and looks completley dry on the dock while my smaller ones shell looks moist glossy and has green in focus and black lines is this bad for any of the 2?

It may be that your faded turtle is getting ready for a scute shed - which is a normal process. However, it's hard to tell without seeing him/her. Could you post a photo of the shell when it's dry?
