So today, I went to feed my turtle, and I saw this huge black thing, and it looked like he was sitting on it. I started freaking out, but half of it went in. I went to work, and when I came back, all of it was inside. I think I read somewhere that it was normal, as long as it went back in. I'm just worried that he's gonna rip it off. There are some bubbles on top of the aquarium, and some brown stuff...but it looks more like poop. SOrry if this is gross, but I just waned to know how to prevent him from ripping it off.

Well, there are some other possibiliies. Does he have very long front toenails? Is his tail long and thick? Could you post a photo of him? How long is he (straight shell length)
