So one of our turtles, has a sort of bump on her side of her neck, under her red strip. Im not sure if this is due to an injury, or an infection. Possibly going to try to convince my mother to take her to the vet. But just wondering if any of you have any idea as to what it is. I noticed yesterday she had it. Thank you, i have two pictures of her, showing as much as i can of her neck, and the bump.

I agree with Redzz here, it looks like the first visual signs of a aural abscesses or what people refer to as ear infections in reptiles. Can you please describe your set up and describe a bit on the condition of the water, and is there any other symptoms? Is she feeding okay at the moment? Usually these type of symptoms in aural abscesses in many species of reptiles can lead to bacterial infections and more. It seems like it is the start of it though really so based on what you report, you can start correcting matters at home but it can easily grow into a mandatory vet visit if it does indeed becomes larger. Keep your eye out on the area showing signs of discoloration as well. Discoloration is a sign of pus and would require you to get help sooner than later. Right now, its visually clear so based on your answers would help others determine key factors to assist you.
