Hello,

My 2 year old female turtle was going crazy in her tank she was even trying to pull herself out of the tank which I have never seen before. The turtle is still eating though. I took the turtle out of the tank and she was walking a little weird from her back legs. so I got a big black rubbermade box and filled it full of potting soil sprayed it with a little water, but she seems to hate it in there she won't stop trying to escape. She is really never happy anywhere outside of the tank so I am not really sure what to do. Anyone have any info on what I should do? I also felt between her legs and tail and it's pretty hard like there might be an egg there, but I am not sure.

Thanks for your help,

Gently feel in front of the rear leg (the space between the leg and before the shell). Does she go crazy at certain times of the day?

I didn't really feel anything there I didn't want to push too hard though. She seems to be going crazy since yesterday all the time. Today she got out of the tank some how and it's a really big drop down

You should notice a pattern... especially the same time of day. Did it rain? When she wanted out, did she respond to you and/or food or didn't care?

Here are some videos of her. It wasn't raining I am not really home all day so I don't have enough time to notice patterns. My girlfriend put her in the nesting box for a few hours today, but I don't see any eggs. She still seems to be eating, but not as much as she normally does she left some food floating around in the tank and she normally eats everything she can.

Is it possible she's being harassed? It looks like you need to make some adjustments to the tank.

Maybe. The little one is always bugging her never seemed to really bother her in the past though. She seems to be ok today basking like normal. Weird thing is this turtle is normally the calm one the small one is always skiddish. I don't really have much to change in the tank they like that waterfall thing they always sleep on it and they always stand on that tree they always knock over when they are chilling with their heads out of water.

You might want to giver a once over, to make sure there are no bite-related injuries.

she looks fine but shes still being a pain its so weird she use to be so calm all the time now shes driving me crazy banging around the tank. I had to detach her dock because she keeps jumping out of her tank. I also just fed her and shes not going after food now before she would go crazy for food.

Thats exactly what mine does gravid, can you take her outside? or let her walk around the the house and see if she starts to dig. She must be older then 2? did you get her from a pet store?

I just took her out cuz she was going crazy and now she's mounting my girls sandal kicking her back legs a lot she stopped after about 5 mins and no egg :s now she's going to hide somewhere else I'm going to dump the dirt out of my rubbermade and put it in my turtle pool outside not sure what she wants I live in an apt so it's hard to let her out I have a patio but it's concrete hopefully that will work

still no luck I am starting to lose patience with this turtle no matter what nice place i put her to nest all she wants to do escape it and smash her shell against my sliding glass door and walk back and forth through my mini-blinds making as much noise as possible knocking them down back and forth.
