General Care Discussion :: Going away need help please :(

I'm going away for one week (yay) but what's sad is my turtle!
I have some tricks already to keep it running smooth since no one can take Care of her. I put a timer for the lights and of course have filtration to keep the water clean.
The only thing I'm stressing about is feeding!! My turtle will NOT eat from an automatic feeder. It is usually basking or at the bottom of the tank. It only comes to eat when I'm their.
Of course it will eventually find the food, but that might take 20minutes and by then the food is soggy. My turtle will not eat soggy food.
What do I do? I have feeder fish in the tank and last time I left (for 4 days) I put like 8 whole romaine lettuce which when I came back it was all gone.
How do I go about feeding? Will it be able to sustane itself on feeder fish and romaine lettuce? I could throw in a zoo Ned calcium block also.
Any help REALLY appreciated.

How big is the tank and turtle? What do you put in the automatic feeder? When are you leaving?

The tank is 50 gallons. The turtle is my Mississippi map. I'm leaving end of December. Thanks

Try to feed in the same location and time as the timer everyday. It'll take a few days but your turtle will figure it out.

Okay thanks i will start from tomorrow. I have been always feeding the same place, just not the same time.

Yeah, my RES are pretty fine tuned to when they're supposed to get fed and put up a ruckus if I'm late
