General Care Discussion :: RES Terrapin white spots on its shell

Hi guys, I noticed that my RES terrapin started to form white spots on its shell.The white spots do not come off even after brushing it with a toothbrush and the spots does not seem to go away. The spots are not fuzzy and do not seem to grow on its shell it feels like it is part of its shell, I have attached a photo below as you can see there are small white dots on its shell! Im new to this and I am not sure what to do as this is my first terrapin and I had it for a few days! please help!

P.S. Is it normal for terrapins to not eat during its first few days of being in a new home?

It's normal for them not to eat at first just try different stuff to get them to want to eat and as far as the spots I would take terrapin just to be on the safe side to the herp vet in your area just to make sure it's not early signs of shell rot

I think you should take the turtle to the vet just to make sure it's not early signs of shell rot but I think the turtle looks adorably
