Yea out here in Arizona we always have to worry about hard water.

If you fill your cooler with water and leave the lid off your chloramine will evaporate in 24 hrs. Ready for the tank after that. Most water treatment plants stopped using chlorine.

I think it's the other way... chloramine does not evaporate. Chlorine does which is why its usage has dropped.

We just got Bubba a new plant for the water and he took to it right away. It's the bonsai tree from petsmart. Lots of foliage for him to hide and he like to climb on it. Also got a backdrop but it's too small so going to get a bigger one and cut to fit.

I'm pretty sure they both evaperate. But they are in such small amounts that if your only doing water changes it really doesn't matter anyway. We discussed it on here when I first started turtle keeping I will try to find the post. I love adding new and different stuff to my tanks. We like pictures.

Nope. Chlorine will evaporate. Chloramine hangs around. That's one of the reasons they switched to it.

OK, Finally got the pictures uploaded. Right now his tank seems a bit crowded but he seems to enjoy it and he's small enough that he can still get around.
