Laitly Kenny seems to be having a little issue with shedding his scutes fully. He has 3 that haven't came all the way off for at least a month now and are getting like a green algea or something under them. I know not to pull them off, but is there something I need to do? The rest of his shell looks great, no fungus or algea anywhere else but under these 2 scutes that are stuck on

Are they thin layers that are starting to peel already? How about a gentle scrub to see what scutes and algae comes off? You might even get a dance...

LOL great video! I'll try it. Its only 3 scutes and they are almost all the way off, just have a small piece that is still making them stick. And then under these three is the green stuff starting to build up. And yes its just a thin layer that has started to peal already, just stuck on at the end. The rest of his shell is fine though.

Should I use anything on the toothbrush or just dry?

If you do it in the water, you are much more likely to be bitten. I'd brush while the shell is wet. If you can, rinse as you scrub or soon after you are finished.

Okay I got it all off him and the old scutes came off, they were just attached by a teeny piece still. He looks so much better! Thank you!
