I posted a few months ago when I adopted a female RES that I found wandering on my street! Her shell has some pretty substantial damage/issues that I attribute to either poor care in her prior home or damage she took being a road warrior! Here's the original post if you want to see some pictures of her then:

So, I've got her into a much better home, a 55 gal with proper basking area. Her water and basking temps are ideal, and she basks regularly for most of the daytime hours. Her diet is primarily green leaf lettuce, plus occasional other veggies. Her protein comes from Hikari wheat germ, which I hoped would help her start to shed her damaged shell. So thanks again for all the great info on these forums that have gotten me a better setup for Donna!
Last weekend, I took her our into some direct sunshine for a few hours for the extra UVB rays. I took to opportunity to take some pictures, so I thought I would share and get any opinions on her progress. I feel like she has a long way to go, but is starting to show some healthy improvement? All but a few tiny flecks of the white stuff has flaked off, as well as much of plastron. There is definitely some shedding happening. Bring on the thoughts!

What do you think? Looks a lot better right?
Here's a few of her basking and setup just because...
