Help!
My baby has brown-ish spots on the underside of his shell. This is my first turtle and I've been relying on this site for most of my basic care so I'm desparate for help! I have a picture and the spots just don't look right to me. :(

It's expected for them to lose those patterns to large brown/black blotches. In other words, your baby is growing up :)

He might be melanizing. Male turtles tend to get darker as they age. :)
