Hi I have a RES and I think she is about 32 years old. I got her when i was in 3rd grade for she was the class pet. Anyway since ive had her she hasent had any of the things i read about that a RES should have like heater, UVB light or tank to size ratio. She grew up in a 20G tank for the first 22yrs I had her then i got a 55G tank but stupid me one side of the glass was half high so lets just call it a 25G. Anyway some one told me she was fat, I never thought a turtle could get fat but i just learned she is indeed fat. Her shell has these spots all over and it looks like little potholes and the skin is pinkish red where the fat kinda spills out of her back legs. So what im asking is will she be ok? I dont have the kind of money to buy all the stuff she needs but if anyone can give me some help on getting her into good health again i would really be great full. i dont know how to put photos on this but i can send em to anyone who thinks it would help
