can a Melanistic male red eared slider mate with a normal female red ear slider
I just don't understand what is the difference between normal red ear slider and a Melanistic red ear slider

The body is just producing excess amount of pigment. That gives everything its coloring. Its the opposite of an albino where its body produces no pigment.

Yes they can breed. Their still basically a normal res. Though you shouldnt, res are way over populated.

Absolutely! They're also not worth anything if the point of breeding them is capitalizing on them.
