Hello I have just rescued a 3 year old under 9" female RES. She was gravid and the women couldn't care for her and I agreed to giving her a home. She has just laid 9 eggs and we are right now incubating them. I have had many ppl tell me to dispose of them but I do not believe in killing anything living. She was housed with a male and the lady is not sure if they actually mated. Is there anyway to tell if they are fertile??? I have never really done this before and don't know much about eggs.

Where were the eggs laid and how long ago?

Was she housed with a male before you adopted her? If not, then the eggs aren't fertile.
