I've had my yellow-bellied slider for about 8 years now and he is about 3 inches long. My mom's friend gave him to us years ago. I recently moved into college in the mountains and brought him with me. He was acting totally normal at first, but then when the cold weather started to sit in, he started acting funny. I had him sitting in a window so he could get a lot of sunlight, but then his water started getting cold, so I moved him. He used to eat like a horse and grab the food out of my hand, now he hasn't eaten in about 4-6 days. I've been doing some research and I am getting him a basking lamp as soon as I can. He has been eating ReptoMin since I got him; is he getting sick of his food? Also, I noticed his shell was looking a little splotchy when I was cleaning his cage today. He is still active and swimming around. He just will not eat! Any suggestions for Franklin?

Does he some of the basics, like a water heater? How big is his tank? 3" is quite small, what do you normally feed him?
