I've never had to deal with an injured turtle so I can't provide much more info than is already on this site. Someone will step in soon to help with that.

I do have ONE suggestion and that's find another way to the vet! You should NOT let him wait until wednesday!

I'm moving this to Urgent Care so it'll get more attention. Good luck.

Vivi, look (or have your mom look) at the sticky at the top of this forum for locating a herp vet near you--you turtle needs one right now.

Read the info here: http://www.home.earthlink.net/~rednine/firsaid.htm for info on emergency treatment of wounds to see what you can do in the meantime, but take your turtle to a herp vet.

Good luck. Let me know what happens.

Ok good and bad news. good news is that we found a vet :D (thank you marisa for pointing out where to look for a vet). i called as many as i can and most of them were closed already. The bad news is that his appointment is on wednesday but is in the morning. i talked to the doc and told him what i have been putting on him and he said that its was good but to watch out that no flies get on him cuz it can cause infection or egg laying  . he said that he needed one now but that the emergencie hospital was too far. so he told me to wait and to keep on doing what i was doing. so thanx to all that helped me and i well tell you the results. oh and if you got any more tips for us then please tell me.

sorry about the turtle keep him warm and if hes eating feed him, hopefully the puncture wounds are not really deep enuff to have hit vital organs, cant wait to hear what the vet says, do all you can and wait nature has a gr8 way of healing, keep him safe till the doctor tells u what else to do. if he's not bleeding and will still eat this is a good thing.

ok we have came back from the vet and crush looks fine. sure he's a little sleepy cuz they put him alsleep for they can fix him up. ok the doc said that he should be fine and wow what a relief :D . what they did was gave him some injectables Anes;Telazol and of course fixed his shell. they patched up his wounds and then i think he said put some acrlyic???(cant spell) on top of the patches. he said that it might have to stay on forever :( . but it is possible that it will heal completly. oh and i have to inject him with Baytril. but everything is good now. except the injection part :( . but its best for him. will thanx again for all the help.
