My turtle is about 4-5 inches. I have had him 2 months. Water temp about 78-80. He has been making a croaking noise but is still eating fine. I feed him rep cal pellets. I have tried other fruits and vegetables but he doesn't see to eat them

A few people have noticed some minor croaking that was not a symptom of any distress. I noticed some croaking with my RES when I had them out on a hot day (which I don't do anymore) though there could be other factors.

Keep offering the veggies. He'll come around. My turtle eats his veggies better when they are in a veggie clip - apparently it helps to anchor them down.

Concentrate more on leafy greens, not fruit (which is OK on a more occasional basis).
Can you tell if there's a pattern to the noise---does it occur at specific times?

Sometimes when they squeeze their jaws shut, it can make a croak-noise. Is it something like that?
