thing shave taken a turn for the worse. i moved to a new topic since im pretty sure now that she is not gravid, but sick in some way. i am terrfied...and i need someone's insight. she hasnt been moving all day and her eyes were closed hiding, inside her shell (which just makes me further believe that one of the causes was the eye infection. she looks like shes in a dying state and only twitches now and then while opening her mouth. other than that shes as still as a rock. ive also noticed a viscous substance secreting fro her tail. please, please respond.....

i've also cleaned out a sort of orangish brownish colour from her skin:

Well, the viscous stuff is probably mucus associated with laying eggs/ the start of egg laying. (are you sure she isn't gravid??)
The open mouth leads me to think she may be having respiratory problems, maybe a respiratory infection...

I think your best bet is a herp vet. You should go as soon as possible for the best chances of helping your turtle recover.... Good Luck!
There is a posting of herp. vets at the top of the urgent care forum, if you need help finding a vet.

Meg is right, you're going to have to go to a vet. We'll be thinking of you and your turtle and pulling for you.

i can see that you live in ontario...no wonder you were able to find one so quickly. im taking her today, its about 35 minutes from where i live...she moves seldomly, but it gives me hope that shes still alive. i hear that this clinic is great, and i hope they can heal her and tell me why she became like this all of a sudden. thanks for all the support you guys have been gving me. you guys are great.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. I'm glad you can get her in today. I wouldn't want to wait.

Almost forgot...Make a list to take with you. Write down the feeding schedule (what, how much, how often), make a note of the basking/water temps, describe your setup (uvb, etc). Every little bit of info you can give helps.

That vet should be able to tell you if there are other vets in the area. I would ask for a recommendation.

Reason why I say this is because when I called a vet one time to take my Sheba in for a check up, the first vet I called didn't have their reptile specialist in the office that day. So the receptionist gave me the name & number of another vet in the area & I called them instead.

thanks for all the support. this community has been great and supportive. Unfortunately she has passed on....this gave me the motivation to be a veterenarian. she lived for 1.4 years...and she was great. tails is going to miss her, the family's going to miss her. i know she's in a better place...again....thank you.
