hey, my friend's friend's turtle is suffering. i just saw the pictures of it and i knew it was in bad shape. It was a healthy turtle before but i dont even know what happened to it. please help =*(

I can't answer this, but I would contact a local vet very quickly.

poor animal! did your friend abuse this turtle? it looks like burns, possibly chemical. and yes he needs to see a vet right away.

Kinda looks like he's been in a fire, or put in a container with a basking area without being able to get out of the heat for a very long time. :(

is your friend willing to do anything for him or is he in your care now? Did he have any explanation as to what happened?

I am seeing MBD along with other problems (burns/shell rot)..
This poor RES is suffering..
I really don't think he/she can be helped.. The kindest thing at this point IMHO is euthanasia.
Scooter (10") & B.C.(11") both female.
