ok, here's the story..

I was out for 5 minutes or so, talking to the neighbor..

when 1 came back though the turtle was upside down on his shell with his legs and arms all stretched out (in water)

apparently the thermometers broken so the water temp has been reved up REALLY high..from lukewarm to pretty much very warm..

So I obviously took him out from there..

he's concious.. his eyes are open and he closes them every now and then, and then opens them again..

and when I took a look at him, he opened his mouth a little and closed it and liqui (transparent) came out from his mouth and nose...

his arms and legs are all stiff...

so..

what should I do..
(I called the vet already)

and whats wrong with him?!

How soon will you be making it to the vet? I hope ASAP. You should look into multiple thermometers for your tank. I have 1 stick on, and 1 glass one, and i'm adding a new glass and stick on one on the opposite end.

It sounds like he drowned/almost drowned. There's info on caring for a drowned turtle here: www.turtlecare.net/drown.htm If water is still coming from his mouth, I'd try holding him at an angle head downward and gently pumping his legs a little to help more come out. Keep him warm. Hope your vet arrives soon. Let us know what happens.
