How big is your turtle? 3.2in
How long have you had it?2 months

What is the water temperature? 80
Did you use a thermometer? Yes
Are you using a water heater? Yes
How much water is in there? 37 Gal (roughly)
Are you using a water conditioner? Yes
Are you using any filtration? Yes

What is the basking temperature? 89
Is there a basking light? Yes
Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on? Yes
What kind is it or what is it made out of? Turtle Dock
Is there a UVB light? Yes

What have you been trying to feed it? Plants / Tetra
When was the last time your turtle ate? Yesterday

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure? 40GAL
Is the tank near a window? Sure but blinds are closed
Is the tank in a room with a lot of activity? No

Have you read the Basic Care section? Yes
Have you searched the forums for similar situations? Yes

Is there any other unusual activity/symptoms? Yes :(

So as a few of you have noticed I recently upgraded the tank to a 40Gallon tank, hoping that would buy me a few months in time to allow me to save a few more bucks to get the larger "toph" RES her own tank to. However recently she's been attacking my 2in "Katara" and the tiny 1inch has been staying away but has had some encounters with toph. I also have two plecos that toph will endlessly chase all day. (I literally watched her all saturday for like 6 hours) -

either way. I'm not sure what I can do. I can afford maybe $100 more but I know that's not enough to set up another 40 Gallon tank for her.

I only have the 10 Gallon and the one 40 Gallon.

Would there be a reason why she's being agressive? I can't say she's a girl for sure, but I like to think of her as a girl lol since she's a lot bigger. (probably not a size thing - more of an age)

I don't really want to give her away, but I see no other choice. Any advice will help, maybe something that I can do to calm her temper?

Some form of separation is the only thing you can rely on.

Update: I looked around and it seems I found a guy who likes to take in turtles - says he would love to have toph - However this won't be till the weekend. I really wished I could keep her :( - Thanks for the advice steve. I hope I can setup a second tank in the future to not have to let my little ones go.

Sorry to hear it! You couldn't find a family member to take toph?

No unfortunately my family knows turtles aren't easy now that they understand how much I spent to setup my tank. Plus remember I took her from my parents for that reason.
Btw she just had a near death experience I got home and she was stuck under the structure used for plants. Lucky I acted fast enough and was able to bring her back.

Also my girl thinks the guy I found on Craig list may just harm her (eat her) I highly doubt this but what is your take on that one lol?

Eat her? Not likely. Are they a good keeper? Not likely. I suspect a lot of people take them for the equipment/tank.

Haha, yeah I didn't think anyone really ate Red Ears, well due to the huge amount of rains over the weekend I had no chance to drop Toph off anywhere, except for back in the 40 gallon tank, don't for any reason believe I ever did this on purpose, but since her near death experience she's changed her temper, I don't know for how long, but it's changed, she's stopped attacking the Katara, Aang and even the Pleco's whom I've named D&D (droopy and drool) -

So for now, I hope she can stay calmed for a few more, until I can get her a new tank all for her self. Within a few months I should be able to afford said tank.
