Hi, my turtle turned 8 yrs. old this past July. Her behavior is normal, except her basking light has not been on as often as in the winter. She gets natural sun and basks in that daily. She is active, happy, hungry, and acting just fine, but this discoloration just started about a month ago, and has spread. It is not soft, it is rough and hard, and when I press on it she does not seem agitated or in pain. Have you seen this before? Is it Shell Rot? Here are pictures of the bad side, and the normal side. Thank you!!!

I think it might be, or at least an infection. It feels rough because it's probably a boney layer. I'd have an experienced herp check her out.
