Urgent!!! Respiratory infection ??

My turtle was really active yesterday and actually it was still healthy 1 hour ago. Now, its inactive and won't eat. When I picked him up, he opened his mouth and made a gasping sound. He is 5 years old. I recently changed tanks and gave him the tank my sick turtle uses. I think that whatever disease he has, its contagious. Is it normal for a turtle to open his mouth and make noises??? Please help me!!!!

Active as in normal behavior, or just moving around a lot? Open mouth alone is not a symptom of RI nor is making noises, but considering what's going on they might be sick.

Yesterday he was normal.

Was the tank/filter cleaned before you put him in there?
