So I do wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. A woman rescued a western pond turtle off a road that may have been hit. The turtle recovered and she released it only to find that the turtle had laid eggs. The eggs are about due to hatch but I'm not sure they are going to. First egg cracked a couple months ago for some unknown reason and has gotten worse. The egg started to mold so I gently sprayed and wiped it with clorhexiden (sp). Now the only reason I did that is because it saved leopard gecko eggs in the past. The second egg cracked last month. Has anyone seen this happen before?

The main question is did any fluids leak? Small cracks are not usually an issue but I don't know enough to give you a definitive answer.
