Hello everyone!
I have a RES about 4 inches and it's really sick. For about 3 weeks now it's not eating just basking all day. It lives in a 60 liter tank with water heater and filter. The water is treated with Aquasafe. When it's out of the tank it has moments when it raises the head straight up and starts running and jumping almost doing backflips. And then stops for a while but repeats the same running with the head up. And also does not open the eyes but they not appear puffy. Does not gasp for air and there is no discharge or mucus. It floats straight in the water. Really don't know what to do. I gave it baths with some vitamines that the vet recommended and some ointment for the eyes. I have one other RES but it has no problems and they share the same living conditions. Please help :(

How long have you had it? What was it eating before? How big is it? Did it have any problems before? You should immediately separate them.

I have it for 8 months now. It's about 4 inches. It had an infection at the mouth 4 months ago. It's now separated from the other in a drydock. Still not eating ... I'm trying to feed her in a small tank but it's not eating anything. I tried pellets, worms, fish, shrimp...

Sounds like she's very weak. If she can't/won't open her eyes, then she won't eat. Try soaking her in a small container with 50% water 50% Pedialyte and some crumbled up pellets. Also consider taking her outside to basking in some sunlight (if the weather's appropriate). Did the vet do anything else?
