Hi everyone. I just noticed that my RES has a brown "patch" on the back of her neck that protrudes slightly. I have attached three pictures. I'm assuming that it's some type of infection or scar, and I've been reading other threads, but given its location I thought I'd ask for advice before taking action (i.e. even if I could apply an antibiotic such as polysporin to the wound, it could get in her eyes when she retracted her head). I'm also over an hour away from the nearest vet so bringing her to one may be impractical, especially since we're experiencing a wicked cold snap (-30 Celsius over the weekend).

Over the last month I've been in the process of moving her from a 60 gallon tank to a 150 gallon tank, the only remaining step now being moving her to the new tank. So I can move her to pristine water conditions immediately, but I've had her alone in the old tank so that the small fish can find their hiding places, and after I saw the brown patch I decided to leave her there for now in case someone recommends treating the water with some type of medication, so that I can treat her separately from the fish.

The water is well water, which has a higher ph of around 8.2. I use conditioner to remove any metals. The water is high in mineral content though, and her shell has been getting a bit of a grey tinge, so the new tank has an RO/DI filtration system (and I'm using replenish to ensure that there will be some minerals). She's also been in the process of shedding for about a month, so her scutes are peeling away and have air pockets underneath them, but everything feels hard underneath the peeling scutes. Her temperament and apetite seem normal.

I'll start preparing a dry dock, as I'm assuming that it will be recommended, but would very much appreciate any advice that can be offered. Thanks in advance!

The next two pictures are taken through black wire grate, so ignore the black lines, it's the light brown patch:

In this picture you can kind of see how it's flat, and almost flaky like a scab, because it's hanging over the neck wrinkle:

Looks like a healed wound. When turtles attack each other, the attacker comes from the top and goes for the neck. Keep an eye on it, but I'd say it's fine.
